  • 8 sliders Slider Buns Whole wheat or gluten-free options available
  • 2 cups Cooked Chicken Shredded and tossed in BBQ sauce or rotisserie chicken

  • 0.5 cups BBQ Sauce Sweet Baby Ray's recommended
  • 0.5 cups Red Onion Sliced, green onions can be a substitute
For the Cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Fresh mozzarella for better taste
  • 1 cup Smoked Gouda Can be replaced with cheddar
For Garnish
  • 0.25 cups Fresh Cilantro Parsley can be used as a substitute
For Extra Richness
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Brush on tops of buns

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C). Prepare a 9x13 baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Place the bottoms of the slider buns in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until well coated. Spread evenly over slider bun bottoms.
  4. Top with mozzarella, smoked gouda cheese, red onion, and cilantro. Sprinkle with black pepper.
  5. Place the tops of the slider buns on, cover the dish with aluminum foil, and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Melt unsalted butter in a saucepan and mix in remaining cilantro; set aside.
  7. After 15 minutes, remove the foil, brush buns with cilantro butter, and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes.
  8. Let cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving.
