  3. Combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
  4. Gradually add buttermilk to the dry ingredients, stirring to form a sticky dough. Fold in cooked sausage and cheddar.
  5. Melt salted butter and pour it into the baking dish, coating the bottom.
