Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook 1 pound of ground beef for 6 to 8 minutes until browned. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a pot of boiling salted water, blanch 1 pound of green beans for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  4. Combine the cooked beef with cream of mushroom soup and ½ cup of sour cream in a mixing bowl. Fold in the blanched green beans.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle 1½ cups of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes until the cheese melts and the casserole bubbles around the edges.
