- In a large mixing bowl, combine masa harina, softened butter, chicken broth, and chopped green chiles. Mix thoroughly until a smooth and pliable dough forms.
- In a large skillet, combine the cooked chicken, green enchilada sauce, and chopped cilantro. Cook over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread half of the prepared masa dough evenly across the bottom.
- Sprinkle a generous layer of Monterey Jack cheese over the top of the casserole, covering the surface completely.
- Carefully place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 35–40 minutes, or until set and the top is lightly golden.
