Steps
- Prepare the Spice Bag by gathering all spices and placing them in a muslin bag or cheesecloth.
- Combine beef stew meat, onion, daikon radish, garlic, ginger, oyster sauce, soy sauces, Maggi sauce, and brown sugar in a large slow cooker or stockpot, and cover with beef stock.
- Submerge the spice bag into the stew mixture.
- Cook on stovetop for 3-4 hours on low heat or 8 hours in a slow cooker.
- Once cooked, check for tenderness, stir and serve over rice or noodles, garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes
For thicker stew, remove beef, mix cornstarch with water, and simmer liquid until thickened. Can also be made in an Instant Pot in 45 minutes. Store leftovers for up to 4 days in the fridge or freeze for 3 months.
