  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, stirring frequently for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Stir in uncooked rice, cooking for about 2 minutes until slightly translucent.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil. Cover and simmer for about 12-15 minutes until rice is tender.
  4. Fold in broccoli florets, cover again, and cook for an additional 5 minutes until bright green.
