Cooking Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Season both sides of the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and brown the chicken thighs skin-side down for about 5 minutes.
- After browning, transfer the chicken thighs to a baking sheet and bake for approximately 20 minutes.
- In the same skillet, sauté sliced white mushrooms over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
- Add chopped bacon to the skillet and cook for 2 minutes until crispy.
- Pour in heavy cream and let it simmer for about 2 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Return the baked chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them and heat through.
- Garnish with fresh thyme and serve over creamy mashed potatoes, zucchini noodles, or preferred sides.
