Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  2. Carefully add 1 pound of jumbo shrimp in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until opaque and pink, then season with salt and pepper and transfer to a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium, add 2 tablespoons of butter, and stir in 4 cloves of minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in ½ cup of white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits, and cook for about 1 minute.
  5. Lower the heat, stir in 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and let it simmer gently for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add ½ cup of grated cheese to the sauce, stirring until melted and creamy.
  7. Return the seared shrimp to the skillet, gently tossing them in the sauce for about 1-2 minutes to warm through.
