Method
 

Making the Dressing
  1. Toast the Sesame Seeds: In a dry skillet, over medium heat, add the raw sesame seeds. Stir frequently for about 3–5 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Grind the Seeds: Once cooled, place seeds in a mortar and pestle and crush them to a coarse consistency.
  3. Combine the Dressing Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine crushed sesame seeds with mayonnaise, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Mix thoroughly for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add Sesame Oil: Drizzle in the toasted sesame oil and stir for an additional minute until smooth.
  5. Adjust for Taste and Consistency: Taste and adjust flavors. Add more rice vinegar for tang or water for consistency.
