Cooking Steps
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and trim any excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine avocado oil, maple syrup, sweet paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, oregano, salt, and cayenne pepper to make the marinade.
- Coat the chicken thighs in the marinade thoroughly.
- Arrange the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer and set the cooking time for 16 to 20 minutes.
- At the halfway point, flip the chicken thighs for even cooking.
- Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (74°C). If not, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
