  • 1 cup Dried Chickpeas soaked overnight
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Fresh Parsley finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup Fresh Cilantro finely chopped
  • 0.25 cup Fresh Dill finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cardamom/Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour (optional) or chickpea flour for gluten-free
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2 cups Vegetable Oil for frying
For Serving
  • 0.5 cup Tahini Sauce for drizzling

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Soak dried chickpeas in a large bowl of water overnight.
  2. Blend soaked chickpeas with onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, dill, cumin, cardamom, salt, and black pepper until coarse.
  3. Form falafel balls about the size of a golf ball and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray falafel with vegetable oil. Cook for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
  5. For frying, heat oil to 350°F and fry falafel in batches for 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve falafel warm with tahini sauce or in pita with fresh vegetables.
