  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Can substitute with honey
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste
  • 3 tablespoons Green Onions Chopped, for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds Optional garnish

Method
 

Steps
  1. Prepare the Vegetables: Slice the cabbage into thin ribbons and cut the bell pepper into strips. Julienne the carrot and chop the green onions.
  2. Make the Sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, sugar, and black pepper in a bowl.
  3. Heat the Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Sauté Aromatics: Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the hot oil, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir-Fry Bell Pepper and Carrot: Add sliced bell pepper and julienned carrot to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the Cabbage: Toss in the sliced cabbage and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Pour the Sauce: Once the cabbage is cooked, pour the sauce over the vegetables and toss to coat.
  8. Final Stir-Fry: Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes to meld the flavors.
  9. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
