Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Fill a large pot with water and add a generous amount of salt before bringing it to a boil over high heat. Once bubbling, add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. After cooking, drain the pasta in a colander, ensuring you reserve a splash of pasta water for later, and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat over medium heat, then add the ground beef. Use a wooden spoon to break up the meat as it cooks, ensuring it's evenly browned, approximately 5-7 minutes. Once fully cooked and browned, drain excess grease from the skillet, keeping the beef in the pan.
  3. Sprinkle the cooked beef with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir well to combine, letting the spices coat the beef and release their aroma, which should take about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Lower the skillet heat to medium-low and add the butter. Let it melt into the beef mixture, swirling the pan to incorporate everything. Once the butter is fully melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, stirring frequently until it becomes fragrant but not browned.
  5. Pour the beef broth into the skillet, stirring to blend with the garlic and beef mixture. Allow the mixture to simmer for 3-4 minutes, letting it reduce slightly and thicken.
  6. Add the drained bowtie pasta to the skillet, gently tossing it together with the beef and sauce. Use tongs to mix until the pasta is well-coated, approximately 2-3 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the pasta and beef mixture, then stir gently until the cheese is fully melted and gooey, about 1-2 minutes.
  8. Remove the skillet from the heat and transfer the Garlic Butter Beef & Cheesy Bowtie Pasta to serving plates. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley for garnish.
