Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and place them in a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix softened butter, olive oil, minced garlic, and the chopped fresh herbs. Add paprika, salt, and pepper then blend well.
- Spread the garlic herb butter on each cod fillet and layer lemon slices on top and beneath the fish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 13 to 15 minutes, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from oven, let sit for a minute, and serve with pan juices spooned over the top.
