Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and place them in a baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter, olive oil, minced garlic, and the chopped fresh herbs. Add paprika, salt, and pepper then blend well.
  4. Spread the garlic herb butter on each cod fillet and layer lemon slices on top and beneath the fish.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 13 to 15 minutes, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from oven, let sit for a minute, and serve with pan juices spooned over the top.
