Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and slice the fresh strawberries, setting them aside in a bowl.
  3. Roll out the refrigerated pie dough on a lightly floured surface until it's about ⅛ inch thick. Cut into four circles, each approximately 6 to 7 inches in diameter.
  4. Place a quarter of the sliced strawberries in the center of each dough circle, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  5. Gently fold the edges of the dough over the strawberry filling, pleating as you go. Brush with milk or cream and sprinkle sugar on top.
  6. Transfer the assembled galettes to the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  7. Once baked, brush a thin layer of strawberry jam over the warm filling.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
