Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by gently placing 6 large eggs into a pot of boiling water. Let them cook for 6-7 minutes for perfectly jammy yolks.
  2. Transfer the hot eggs to an ice bath for at least 5 minutes until they are cool to the touch.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of soy sauce, ½ cup of water, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Whisk in 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 2 minced garlic cloves, a couple of sliced green onions, and 1-2 thin slices of red chili.
  4. Carefully place the peeled eggs into the bowl with the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
