- Begin by gently placing 6 large eggs into a pot of boiling water. Let them cook for 6-7 minutes for perfectly jammy yolks.
- Transfer the hot eggs to an ice bath for at least 5 minutes until they are cool to the touch.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of soy sauce, ½ cup of water, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Whisk in 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 2 minced garlic cloves, a couple of sliced green onions, and 1-2 thin slices of red chili.
- Carefully place the peeled eggs into the bowl with the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
- Once marinated, remove the Mayak Eggs from the marinade and serve. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and additional sliced green onions.
