Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Then add in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded portions of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
