Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray and parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat until golden brown.
- In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 0.5 teaspoon of table salt.
- Combine the cooled browned butter with 1 cup of light brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and the zest of one orange.
- Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, then add 1 cup of dried cranberries and 1 cup of chopped white chocolate.
- Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 18-22 minutes until golden at edges and slightly underbaked in the center.
- Beat together 8 ounces of cream cheese, 1 cup of confectioners’ sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons of orange juice until fluffy.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled bars and sprinkle with chopped dried cranberries and melted white chocolate.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour, then cut into desired shapes.
