Preparation

  4. Combine the cooled browned butter with 1 cup of light brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and the zest of one orange.
  5. Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients, then add 1 cup of dried cranberries and 1 cup of chopped white chocolate.
  6. Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 18-22 minutes until golden at edges and slightly underbaked in the center.
  7. Beat together 8 ounces of cream cheese, 1 cup of confectioners’ sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 2 tablespoons of orange juice until fluffy.
  8. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled bars and sprinkle with chopped dried cranberries and melted white chocolate.
