  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt or substitute with sour cream or a mix of sour cream and mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or use fresh garlic for a bolder taste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika or substitute with regular paprika

For the Tacos
  • 8 corn or flour tortillas opt for gluten-free if needed
  • 1 cup red/green cabbage (shredded) coleslaw mix can be a substitute
  • 1 avocado (sliced) choose ripe for best flavor
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro (chopped) omit if not a fan
  • ½ cup Cotija cheese (crumbled) feta or Monterey Jack as substitutes

Step-by-Step Instructions for Shrimp Tacos
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, lime juice, sriracha, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt to taste. Chill in the refrigerator.
  2. Take the shrimp and pat dry. Combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, oregano, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl and toss shrimp to coat.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque. Remove and allow to rest.
  4. Warm tortillas in the same skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
  5. Assemble tacos: fill tortillas with cabbage, shrimp, avocado, sauce, cilantro, and Cotija cheese. Serve immediately.
