Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck, kosher salt, cracked black pepper, onion powder, grated garlic, chopped fresh oregano, finely chopped red onion, tomato paste, balsamic glaze, and panko bread crumbs. Mix gently until well incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about ¾-inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to high heat (450-500°F). Clean and oil the grill grates.
  4. Grill the patties for 4-6 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-6 minutes until desired doneness.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun followed by fresh mozzarella, tomato slices, and basil leaves. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and spread pesto mayo on the top bun.
  6. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
