Instructions for Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small pot over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in flour, stirring constantly for 30-60 seconds.
- Slowly pour in heavy cream while continuously whisking to prevent lumps. Simmer gently until thickened.
- Cook small shells pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In the greased casserole dish, layer half of the cooked pasta, then half of the shredded chicken, half of the creamy sauce, and top with shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
- Repeat layering process with the remaining ingredients and sprinkle crumbled cooked bacon on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve.
