Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Stuffing: Cut toasted bread into thumb-sized pieces and add to a mixing bowl. Pour in vegetable broth gradually while mixing to ensure bread absorbs moisture but remains chunky.
  2. Prepare the Roasts: In another bowl, combine dry roast ingredients. Pulse wet ingredients in a food processor until slightly chunky. Mix wet blend into dry ingredients and knead gently until you have a firm dough.
  3. Shape the Roasts: Divide dough into equal portions, flatten slightly, add stuffing, fold dough over and shape into roasts. Set aside on a lined baking tray.
  4. Prepare the Gravy: Whisk gravy ingredients together until smooth, add chopped mushrooms, and nestle roasts atop the gravy in the baking dish.
