  • 4 pieces hamburger buns Gluten-free buns or lettuce wraps also work.
  • 1 cup marinara sauce Homemade or store-bought.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Provolone or vegan cheese alternatives are good options.
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni Can use turkey pepperoni or skip for leaner option.
  • olive oil For grilling to prevent sticking.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your skillet or grill over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then form 4 patties.
  3. Brush olive oil on the grill or skillet and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook another 4-5 minutes until desired doneness.
  4. Spoon marinara sauce over each burger and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Cover and let melt for about 1 minute.
  5. Toast the cut sides of the hamburger buns on a separate skillet or grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing each cheesy patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun, adding extra marinara sauce, and sliced pepperoni if desired.
