- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the seasoned cod fillets to the pan, cooking for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the cod from the skillet and keep warm under foil.
