Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Soak 2 tablespoons of basil seeds in 1 cup of water for about 10–15 minutes until they swell.
  2. Juice 4 large lemons to get about 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Strain any seeds.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, 4 cups of water, ½ cup sugar, and a pinch of salt. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  4. Fold in the soaked basil seeds, mixing well to evenly distribute them.
  5. Serve over ice cubes in glasses, optionally garnishing with lemon slices or mint leaves.
  6. Enjoy immediately or refrigerate for up to a couple of hours.
