Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (Fan 160°C or Gas Mark 5).
- Chop the rhubarb into 1-inch chunks and slice the pears.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped rhubarb, pears, butter, light brown sugar, and cornflour. Cook over low heat for about 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, add the gluten-free flour and sugar for the topping, and cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Spread the softened fruit mixture evenly in a baking dish and sprinkle the crumble topping across it.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
