  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Essential for caramel layer
  • ½ cup Butter Use unsalted for the best flavor
  • 1 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk Use the sweetened variety
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Milk chocolate is preferred, but dark is a great alternative
  • ½ cup Butterscotch Chips If unavailable, just add more chocolate chips
  • ½ cup Peanut Butter Can be swapped with almond butter for a twist
  • 1 teaspoon Maldon Sea Salt Regular sea salt will do if Maldon is not available

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Baking Dish: Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make Caramel: Combine sugar, butter, and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until it bubbles and caramelizes.
  3. Layer Crackers: Arrange half of the Club Crackers in a single layer on the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. Add Caramel Layer: Pour half of the warm caramel mixture over the first layer of crackers.
  5. Top with Crackers: Add a final layer of Club Crackers on top and press down slightly.
  6. Prepare Topping: Combine chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in intervals until smooth.
  7. Chill & Finish: Sprinkle Maldon sea salt over the topping and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  8. Cut & Serve: Remove from pan using parchment overhang, cut into bars, and serve.
