Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by laying out your good quality soft bread slices. Spread a thin layer of butter on half of the slices.
  2. On the remaining slices of bread, generously spread the cream cheese.
  3. Slice the medium cucumber into thin rounds, about ⅛ inch thick.
  4. Layer the thin cucumber slices on the buttered slices of bread, sprinkle with salt and black pepper.
