  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) fresh or powdered options work
  • 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes diced tomatoes are a substitute
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste can omit or use extra crushed tomatoes
  • 2 leaves Bay Leaves remove before serving
  • 1 teaspoon Salt season to taste
  • ½ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper season to taste

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped garlic, parsley, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Shape the Meatballs: Scoop portions and shape into 1.5-inch meatballs, placing them on a plate.
  3. Sear the Meatballs: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add meatballs, searing for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until soft, then stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, bay leaves, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Simmer the Meatballs: Return meatballs to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve: Remove bay leaves and serve hot, over spaghetti, or in sandwich rolls.
