For the Protein
  • 1 pound Beef sirloin cut into small cubes
For the Aromatics
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
For the Base
  • 4 cups Cooked rice day-old is best
For Flavoring
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil for stir-frying
For the Veggies
  • 1 cup Peas frozen
  • 1 cup Carrots diced

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the cubed beef sirloin and stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add 4 cups of cooked rice, 1 cup of peas, and 1 cup of diced carrots.
  5. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until heated through.
  6. Drizzle 3 tablespoons of soy sauce over the mixture, stir-frying for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat, serve hot, and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
