Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Start by slicing the yellow onion and placing it at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine minced garlic, chicken broth, olive oil, dried oregano, ground paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Place boneless, skinless chicken breasts on top of the onions in the slow cooker and pour the seasoning mixture evenly over the chicken.
  4. Secure the lid and set the slow cooker to low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours.
  5. After cooking, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks.
  6. Warm pita bread and fill each pita with the shredded chicken mixture and desired toppings.
