  • 1 pound tuna steak sushi-grade quality preferred
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds mix black and white for visual appeal
  • 1 cup little gem lettuce may substitute with romaine
  • 2 scallions sliced green onions are a suitable alternative
  • 1 cup edamame fresh or frozen and thawed is fine
  • 1 cucumber sliced julienned zucchini can also work
  • 1 small red chili omit for milder version
  • ¼ cup cilantro parsley can be used as a substitute
  • ¼ cup roasted unsalted peanuts almonds or cashews can also be used

  3. Sear the Tuna: Heat skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and sear the tuna for 90 seconds on each side until golden. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
