  • 1 to 1.5 cups non-dairy milk such as almond milk
  • 1 pinch cinnamon add more for spiciness
  • 1 pinch nutmeg optional
  • 1 pinch cardamom adjust to taste

  • 2 tablespoons cacao nibs
  • 2 tablespoons shaved chocolate dark chocolate recommended
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate-covered amaranth

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Start by washing and pitting about two ripe plums. If using dates, pit and soak about three Medjool dates in warm water for about 5 minutes to soften.
  2. In a blender, combine the prepared plums, three tablespoons of cacao powder, soaked dates, and one to one-and-a-half cups of non-dairy milk. Add a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom.
  3. Blend on high speed for about 30-45 seconds or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Check the consistency; if too thick, add about a quarter cup of non-dairy milk and blend for an additional 10 seconds.
  5. Pour the smoothie into a chilled glass. Top with cacao nibs, shaved chocolate, or chocolate-covered amaranth and enjoy.
