  • 2 cups Whipped Cream or mascarpone for richer flavor
  • 0.25 cups Maple Syrup or agave syrup for vegan option
  • 1 cup Chocolate Wafers or graham crackers as substitute

Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your cake pans.
  2. Combine cake mix, eggs, melted butter, and almond extract in a mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer for 2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into greased cake pans and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Cool cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  5. Level the tops of each cooled cake layer, spread whipped cream on the first layer, and add fresh strawberries. Repeat with the second layer.
  6. Decorate the top layer with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and optional chocolate drizzle before serving.
