Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Divide the seasoned beef mixture into four equal portions, shaping each into a thin patty about ½ inch thick.
  3. Take one patty from each pair and place 3-4 oz of provolone or mozzarella cheese in the center.
  4. Carefully place the second patty on top of the cheese-filled patty and press down around the edges.
  5. Optional: Chill the assembled patties in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of oil. Cook the patties until golden-brown, approximately 5 minutes per side.
