Crust Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar cookie dough and melted butter.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of the springform pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
Filling Preparation
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Add sugar and vanilla; mix until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in sour cream until smooth.
- Pour filling over the crust.
Baking
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set.
- Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door ajar for 30 minutes.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
