  • 1 box Ritz Crackers or similar buttery crackers
  • 1 cup Dulce de Leche or caramel sauce as substitute
For the Chocolate Coating
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips or milk chocolate if preferred
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers
Optional Flavor Enhancer
  • 1 teaspoon Sea Salt for sprinkling on top

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Arrange Ritz crackers on a baking sheet and spread dulce de leche on half.
  3. Press remaining Ritz crackers on top to form sandwiches.
  4. Bake for about 5-7 minutes until dulce de leche bubbles.
  5. Cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
  6. Melt dark chocolate chips and melting wafers in microwave.
  7. Dip each sandwich in melted chocolate, tapping off excess.
  8. Place on parchment paper and sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
  9. Allow chocolate to set at room temperature or in the fridge for faster hardening.
