For the Chicken
  • 1 lb Boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure even cooking.
  2. Whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, Chinese five-spice powder, and sesame oil in a medium bowl until combined.
  3. Place the chicken thighs in a resealable bag, pour half of the marinade over, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  4. After marinating, let the chicken sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  5. Arrange the marinated chicken thighs on a lined baking sheet in a single layer and discard the remaining marinade.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until juices run clear and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. While chicken is baking, simmer the remaining marinade in a saucepan for about 10 minutes until thickened.
  8. Baste the cooked chicken with the thickened marinade and broil for 2-3 minutes for caramelization.
  9. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serve with your favorite sides.
