  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder or use freshly minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder fresh chopped onion can be used but may alter texture
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano fresh oregano can be substituted at double the amount
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil use double the quantity of fresh basil
  • ½ teaspoon salt sea salt recommended
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper adjust according to your taste
  • pinch crushed red pepper flakes optional for a spicy kick

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, pour in ½ cup of white vinegar, ½ cup of olive oil, and ¼ cup of water. Use a whisk to combine thoroughly until well-blended.
  2. Squeeze in the juice of one lemon and whisk everything together for about 30 seconds until incorporated.
  3. Sprinkle in ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon of sugar, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon each of dried oregano and dried basil, ½ teaspoon of salt, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, and a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes. Stir well for about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Continue mixing until you notice a smooth and uniform texture, about 1 minute.
  5. Pour the dressing into a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds.
  6. Place the jar in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to deepen.
  7. Give the jar a good shake before serving your dressing over salads or grilled veggies.
