  • 1 dash Cinnamon Skip this if you prefer a simpler flavor.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice and zest, minced garlic, minced ginger, cumin, coriander, paprika, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken into a resealable freezer bag. Pour the prepared marinade over the chicken, seal the bag, and massage it gently to coat each piece thoroughly.
  3. Refrigerate the marinated chicken for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours for chicken thighs and 8 hours for chicken breasts.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 425°F). Clean the grates and brush with oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Grill the marinated chicken for about 5-7 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for another 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
